The A-Team won the hearts of the judges and became winners of the Anti-Drugs contest. - HANNI ABD
The A-Team Anti-Drugs group from Pg Jaya Negara Pg Abu Bakar Secondary School won the Anti-Drugs Action Group contest nationwide. The A-Team members comprised Dayang Salwa Haji Abd Rahman, Dk Farhanah Pg Ismail, Dayang Amalie Kah Meng Chang, Dayang Jasmin and Dayang Nur'Aqilah. The school teachers who guided the team from the beginning were school counsellors Dk Zunainah binti Pg Haji Aliuddin and Hasbul Wafi Fikri bin Abdullah @ Bundan. The supporters of the A-Team at Dewan Raya RTB comprised 24 students and their supervising teacher, Cikgu Umi Faridah bte Hj Suhaini. Muda Hashim Tutong Secondary School won second place while PIHM Berakas Secondary School came in third. The fourth and fifth places went to Sharif Ali Secondary School and STPRI respectively. The A-Team also made exhibitions at the RTB lobby. All the exhibited promotional materials were leaflets, bookmarks, car stickers, albums containing pictures of their activities from early this year until October, savings box with anti-drugs message, creative recycled bag, anti-drugs posters, newspaper cuttings and also a video clip of their activities from March until October. The A-Team corner received a good response from audiences and judges who came to view the exhibition. One of the judges said the team has successfully influenced other students with their active and creative participation in the contest. During the competition, they presented 25 anti-drug programmes categorised into six categories which are the A-Team group launching, activities and trips, contests, methods of promotion, promotional materials and research as well as programme closing. The A-Team group also showed judges a multimedia flash on Anti-Drugs presentation entitled 'Suffering or Happiness' followed by a video clip on their activities. |
