A-Team, an anti-drugs group from Sekolah Menengah Pg Jaya Negara Pg Abu Bakar in Kuala Belait, yesterday rolled up their sleeves for a day of car washing in a bid to send out an anti-drugs message to the general public.

The event was also held to give the students a taste of independence and promote cleanliness, while at the same time, allowing them the opportunity to indulge in healthy, beneficial activities.

The team worked alongside Girl Guides from the school to set up the carwash station, where services were offered at $5 per vehicle. Every car that pulled into the station was given a student-made sticker carrying an anti-drugs message.

Leading the students were teachers Dk Zunainah binti Pg Haji Aliuddin, Umi Faridah binti Suhaini and Norlita, who threw their full support behind the event, which was held as part of school co-curriculum activities. The money raised will be channelled towards the club's future activities.
