An intervention programme took place for students of PAP Hjh Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School, Lumut with the theme 'Our Children, Our Future'.

The programme included an ice-breaking session, a talk titled 'Me and My Future' by Haji Ahmad Dahlan bin Haji Kechik and a motivational song 'Standing in the Eyes of the World' by Dk Zunainah binti Pg Haji Aliuddin.

It was a programme organised by the Counselling and Career Guidance Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education and facilitated by Counsellors of Cluster Three, Four and Five.

The objectives of the programme were to increase the awareness level of students to achieve academic success and to build and inculcate self-responsibility, spirit and motivation to do well in their exams in order to reach their academic dreams.

At the programme, the children made drafts of their academic achievement from primary school to secondary school.

Students also made connections between their interests and talents to suitable careers.

Students were also motivated on the value of knowledge and career. They were given awareness and motivation through the song 'Standing in the Eyes of the World' where students were instructed to draw an image of themselves in uniform or in a working environment that they picture themselves in such as a police officer, doctor, engineer and later sang the motivation song to inspire them.
